Tripindi Shradha - Puja for Ancestors is done to cure issues in Child birth, Evil eye (Shatru Pidha), Ancestor Moksha (i.e Nirvana), Removing Gau hatya dosha.

Tripindi Shradha is a Pooja Vidhi in which  offerings are made  in the memory of the dear departed. If for three consecutive years this pooja vidhi is not made,  then the dead gets vehement, so to calm them these offerings or Tripindi Shraddha is  made.
Tripindi Shraddha Pujan is perfomed  for problems like hurdles in Child birth, Evil eye (Shatru Pidha), Ancestor Moksha (i.e Nirvana), Removing Gau hatya dosha. (i.e killing of cow which is supposed to be   God or a holy animal in Hindu religion).Unsatisfied dead atmaas will trouble us in the form of demon.

One month of humans equals one day for the dead.  The Amavasya is the day of ancestors to perform Shraddha. On this day Darsha shradha is performed.

If the  rites meant for the forefathers are not performed, if we deny the offerings which are to be made in the memory of the dear departed,  and if  spiritual procedures is  not followed properly  as per the traditions,  then problems may come  from goblin,  corpse,  demi-gods of the sky/ bodies. The 27'th lunar mansions, demons may led to religious discord.  It may also lead to delay in marriage prospects, failure in business, receding prosperity day after day.
Sometimes we cannot perform the Shraddha Karma, due to one or another reasons for the period of three years continuously,  then these ancestors get angry. So for  prevention of these dosha’s Tripindi Sharddha is necessary to perform.
Due to the cursing of these angry ancestors one has  to suffer from peaceless and unstable life. That’s why it is necessary to perform the Tripindi shraddha.  Accordingly to the Vedas Tripidi Shradha Vidhi must be performed  in Trimbkeshwar only.
This rite can be performed on the important months like 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 2nd month of the Hindu calendar and on 5th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 30th tithis  in the dark half of  the lunar month or on  Sunday.

Shani Mahadasha /Sani(Saturn) : 19 years period of hard work, sincerity and disipline

This is the 19 years time period of hard work and persistence. Saturn emphasizes on strict discipline and labor by creating delays and difficulties and added responsibilities on the person. In short, this time period enables a person to lay the foundation to become strong and efficient, and reap the rewards in coming years.

If the Saturn is well placed, it brings honor, authority and prosperity as a result of one`s work. In case it is afflicted, the time period brings major difficulties, sorrows and frustrations. Bone diseases, fractures, skin problems, rheumatism also come in the play as ill effects of the Dasha.

This is a period when the person faces their limitations, and becomes aware of the possibility of their own mortality. Detachment from worldly concerns, spirituality, concentration, dutifulness, honesty, sincerity and constancy will be emphasized. Ill health, death of loved ones and/or the fear of those things will occur.

There are total 12 signs. Sade Sati is a relative position of your sign where Moon is posited in your birth chart (Moon Sign or Rashi) and the current position of Saturn (Shani).

The currently planetary position is called Transit position or Gochar position in astrological terminology. When Saturn is transiting through the 12th, 1st, and 2nd house from the natal (birth) moon, this is termed as Sade-sati.

Sate-sati starts when Saturn (Shani) enters the 12th sign from the birth Moon and ends when Saturn leaves 2nd sign from the birth



Moon. “Sade-sati” literally means 7 ½ i.e. ‘seven and a half’. Saturn stays 2 ½ years on an average in a sign. So, in three signs combined, Saturn stays for 7 ½ and hence it is called Sade-sati.

Similarly, when Saturn passes through the 4th house from the birth moon, it is supposed to give negative results. This position of Saturn is called Ardha Sade-sati (Half-Sade-sati) or Dhaiya, Panoti, or Adhayia. Some people consider the transit of Saturn from the 5th house of the natal moon as negative because it affects the quality of one’s judgment.

When Saturn passes through the 8th house from the natal moon, it is called Astham Sani (8th Saturn). This 8th house transit is considered equally negative like the Sade-sati transit.

Sade-sati is very much hyped by Vedic astrologers and this period of seven and a half year is said to be very inauspicious. According to some, this is a period with many challenges, some unforgettable. People passing through the period of Sade-sati, people may encounter road accidents, fractures, sudden falls from high positions, acute shortage of money, serious health problems and so on. Person passing through Sade-sati is prescribed various remedies and pariharas like mantra, japa, donation, and havan etc.

There are total 12 signs and as Saturn takes 2 ½ years to pass one sign, Saturn takes total 30 years for pass through all the 12 signs. Out of each 30 years, 7 ½ year are taken by sade-sati. If we include Dhaiya also, out of 30 years 12 ½ years are affected by Sade-sati and Dhaiya. If we also include 5th house and 8th house, we can add another 5 years which means out of each 30 years 17 ½ years are considered inauspicious due to Saturn transit.

There are two reasons for the existence of Sade-sati. First, astrologers need some ways by which they can scare people and make money. By associating Sade-sati with Saturn, it is easy to scare poor people and make money in by suggesting gemstones and performing remedies for them. Sade-sati, like Kalsarpa dosha, is a good way for astrologers and pundits to make money.

Secondly, astrologers who don’t understand astrology need some ways to explain bad events astrologically. As we have seen above, out of every 30 years, 17 ½ years are classified problematic by astrologers so they can easily blame Saturn for any problem in life. This is nothing but sheer lack of astrological knowledge.

Sadesati is a transit like any other, but if Sani is afflicted in your chart, you will face great challenges.

But there is hope! The key is to act like Shani: modest,slow,disciplined,hard work, NO indulgence of any kind, accept loneliness, meditate or take a spiritual hobby. If you are not able to make this change of character the solution is in reciting the Sani mantra’s. After a while your character will change itself, you will be more disciplined and save more money.

“OM PRAANG PRIEN PROUNG“ 8 X 108 times per day for a period  of 6 months.

Chant daily (9X) the gayatri of Sani “SANAISHARYA WIEDMEHE, MEHAADEVAAJE DHIEMEHIE, TENNO SANIDEV PRACHODAYAAT“. This mantra is one of the best there is. Sani will be very pleased when you acknowledge him as “mehaadevaaje”. Try it, you won’t regret it.

Chant daily(9X) the puranic mantra NILANJANA SAMA BHASAM RAVIPUTRAM YAMA GRAJAM CHHAAYA MARTANDA SAMBHOOTAM TAM NAMAMI SHANAISHCHARAM

Good luck! And don’t forget, Sani is the great teacher. He can do it the hard way, or you can chant the mantra’s and will experience the less radical side of Sade sati. In any case, you will change! There is no escape!
